NYC museum with historic past gets major makeover

This Oct. 30, 2013 photo shows the Queens Museum of Art, housed in a building that originally was constructed as a pavilion for the 1939 World’s Fair, in the Queens borough of New York. Now, a nearly 3-year, $68 million expansion and renovation project has created a light-filled, airy and spacious environment that doubles its size. In the background, left, are towers from the New York State pavilion of the 1964 World's Fair.
