Handle it, InStyle: Kerry Washington's skin lighter on cover

In this image released by InStyle, actress Kerry Washington appears on the cover of the March 2015 issue. Washington took to social media late Wednesday to gush about her March cover for the magazine, but her skin tone in an image she posted on Instagram and Twitter appeared significantly lighter than in real life. InStyle said in a statement Thursday that it fielded complaints from people concerned that Washington's skin tone was deliberately lightened.
