Poet, professor Claudia Emerson dies at 57

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Claudia Emerson, a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, died early Thursday morning at age 57 after a long battle with cancer, the university said.
