Box office: 'Hobbit' finale sends 'Exodus' fleeing

NEW YORK (AP) — The finale of Peter Jackson's "Hobbit" trilogy, "The Battle of the Five Armies," marauded through the multiplexes during the weekend before Christmas, taking in $54.7 million. Since opening Wednesday, the Warner Bros. release has made $89.1 million, according to final box office figures Monday.
