On a wing and a paintbrush at Milwaukee Art Museum

This Wednesday, October 1, 2014 photo shows Matt Radmacher, owner of Wisconsin Industrial Painters, from the inside of the Milwaukee Art Museum, as he sands down rust spots on the wings, as part of a project to touch up the structure. Wisconsin Industrial Painters are touching up 40 rust spots on the Burke Brise Soleil, known as the wings, and repainting 72 plates. They started Sept. 29 and are expected to finish by the end of this week. This is only the second time the wings have needed touching up since opening in 2001.
