Original Marquis de Sade manuscript on display

The original scroll on which the Marquis de Sade wrote the draft of his novel 'The 120 Days of Sodom" is displayed at the Letters and Manuscripts Museum in Paris, Friday, Sept.19, 2014. The 12-metre (39 foot) long scroll was found in its hiding place when the Bastille prison was stormed during the 1789 French revolution and over the years has repeatedly changed hands. Returning to France, the parchment piece, goes on display to mark the bicentenary of Sade's death.
