Von Trier brings longer 'Nymphomaniac' to Berlin

Director Lars von Trier, centre, reveals a tee shirt which has the Cannes film festival symbol and the slogan Persona Non Grata underneath as he poses for photographers at the photo call for the film Nymphomaniac at the International Film Festival Berlinale in Berlin, Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014. In 2011 Von Trier was asked to leave the Cannes film festival after a bizarre, rambling news conference in which he said he sympathizes with Adolf Hitler. (AP Photo/Axel Schmidt) BERLIN (AP) — Lars von Trier brought an extra-long version of his "Nymphomaniac Volume I" to the Berlin International Film Festival on Sunday, a cut that increases to nearly 2 ½ hours the first installment of the two-part drama about a woman's sexual life from girlhood to age 50. The Danish director left his stars to do the talking — some of them, anyway.
