AP, other media ask Fla. judge for Bieber video

FILE - These Jan. 23, 2014 police booking mugs made available by the Miami Dade County Corrections Department show pop star Justin Bieber. The Associated Press and other media outlets are urging a judge to grant access to police videos made shortly after singer Justin Bieber’s arrest in January. The news organizations said in a motion filed Tuesday, Feb. 18, in Miami-Dade County court that the 19-year-old pop singer has no legal basis to prevent their release. Nine videos were made at the Miami Beach police station after Bieber was booked Jan. 23. One was previously released. Bieber’s attorneys have asked a judge to allow them to review the others before their potential release. A hearing is scheduled Thursday on the matter.
