Morris Turner, Wee Pals comic strip creator, dies

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Morris "Morrie" Turner, the creator of the "Wee Pals" comic strip and the first African American cartoonist to be syndicated nationally, has died. He was 90.
