Paramilitary soap opera stirs dispute in Colombia

FILE - In this 2012 promotional file photo provided by RCN Television, actor Gregoria Pernia poses in character as Fidel Castano for the television series "Tres Caines," or "Three Cains," an allusion to the Biblical story of Cain slaying his brother Abel, in Bogota, Colombia. The soap opera has stirred unprecedented controversy by dramatizing _ and some say romanticizing _ the career of the Castano brothers, central figures in the creation of the country's murderous far-right militias. There, wrapped in a blanket, they find the body of their father.
