NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Willie Nelson said Thursday that he will turn an upcoming Texas concert into a benefit for victims of the explosion at a fertilizer plant not far from where he grew up.
The concert was sold out, it was supposedly Nelson’s 80th birthday concert, instead the Country Folk singer decided to make it a benefit concert with the earnings to be donated to West’s Fire volunteers and Fire Department. Nelson even buss-in residents of West to the venue to watch the concert for free. After the incident, West is slowly coping with the tragedy and is being comforted by neighbors’ act of kindness. Though they might need more than just that: http://www.authorstream.com/Presentation/criadolawgroup-1792823-texas-blast-possible-law-suit-surge/
